Genesis 1: 1-3 – “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. “

Be Light

This colorway is one of my “Days of Creation” series.

Day 1!

This is the beginning of my series, and it starts with the beginning of the world. In our household, we firmly believe in a literal 7 days of creation and that God created THE world we live in today approximately 6 thousand years ago.

Most people believe that the world was created over millions of years of evolution. Many believe that science and religion don’t go hand in hand. However, what really differs is how we view the facts. The facts are the same. The only difference is what source we use to interpret the facts. As Christians, we use the Bible to explain everything, especially science. So the Biblical “theories” have not changed, nor have they EVER been disproved. However, the opposing side has had many changes to account for facts that do not fit into their “thories”.

Fact: The sun is the perfect distance from the Earth. (93 million miles) and the perfect temperature (11,500 deg. F) to sustain life on Earth. If 50 degrees more or less average per year reached our planet, life would cease to exist.

We view this as proof of a Creator God. He spoke and it was. And what He does is perfect, has always been perfect and will always continue to be perfect! What an amazing God who gave us the sun to warm our planet, to allow our plants to grow, to nourish our skin and our souls, without harming us. Think about the sun’s temperature. 50 degrees (so 11,550 vs. 11, 500) warmer and the temperature would be too hot to sustain life. 50 degrees (so 11, 450 vs. 11,500) colder and the temperature would be too cold to sustain life.

To me, it is much easier to believe that there is an all-powerful, all-knowing God who planned all this, rather than believe in some seriously amazing amounts of coincidences.
